About me and my interests

I'm a "doer" rather than watching life pass me by. I live in Melbourne (south-eastern Bayside suburb) and I'm a Master of a boat working around Melbourne's dockland. I am intelligent and have a highly developed sense of humour. Often I marvel at how wonderful much of my life is. I dine out frequently, enjoying good wine, excellent company and the restaurants that Melbourne is famous for. I am constantly overjoyed that I have such a wonderful, warm circle of acquaintances and friends. My grown daughters are a constant source of joy. even when they try to organise me! My great love is the sea. In fact, I live only 150 metres from the waters of Port Phillip. Boats fascinate, the water entrances and "messing around in boats" is a love that I've enjoyed my whole life. I have been divorced for 12 years now and like all states the single life has its advantages and disadvantages. On balance, the disadvantages are moving me to do something more definite about it. I think the thing I miss more than anything is that "best friend", a true partner who is happy to spend time in shared activities and who still enjoys exploring all things. About who I'm looking for

I'd like to meet someone easy going and who is an interesting conversationalist. You should be someone who can enjoy a thought provoking conversation and have the ability to laugh at yourself. I find sharp minds sexy. You would take as much pleasure in seeing my smile as well as your own. The best is when both of us think we got the better deal. A person who maintains a good balance between independence and time together is ideal since our time apart should enhance our time together. I am attracted to women who can achieve the balance between work and fun- workaholics need not reply. I find it especially appealing to meet a woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to pursue it. A great partner would be someone who can enjoy a football game and the theatre in the same weekend. Personality, chemistry, communication, respect and trust are, I believe, the key elements to a successful relationship.
